Chale Wote Festival has been a popular Ghanaian cultural event over the past years. There are several displays of art from Ghanaians and foreigners. It attracts as many as 50,000 people to Jamestown during the week of the festival.

This year’s event was not as popular as the other years neither did people show much interest during the event. Before the event in August, there were rumours that most of the partners and organizers of Chale Wote walked away explaining the bad organization and little to no interest from people.

Mantse Aryeequaye, has been accused of physically and verbally assaulting the people close to him especially his ex-girlfriend, Dr. Sionne Neely who has released a statement.
